Staff: Spring 2024
Angelina Kondrat (she/her) is a junior studying journalism and environmental studies at CU. This is her third semester at the journal and first semester as Editor-in-Chief. Outside of class, Angelina can typically be found skiing her beautiful skis (their teal), running (preferably in the mountains), or spending money at coffee shops with her roomies. Ethan Geiger is a writer, director, and cinematographer from Boulder focusing on documentaries and short films. He has a BFA in film production from the University of Colorado, has played in four film festivals and his films have won best documentary (Falling Star Reality, 2023,) and best student film (Dr. Milksop, 2023) at multiple festivals. Ethan is also a published flash fiction writer in MacQueen's Quinterly. This is his fourth semester on Hindsight staff.

Ren Hotzfeld (they/he/she) is the Art Director for Hindsight journals. They are a junior studying Psychology with a minor in English at CU Boulder. This is their second semester working on the journals. In their free time, they enjoy drawing, listening to music, and have recently gotten into crocheting. They are pictured with their late cat, Cosmo, their baby boy & entire world.

Ines Durant (she/her) is a Senior majoring in Integrative Physiology. She is the Submissions Manager and this is her third semester as a journal staff member. Outside of school, she enjoys baking, reading and spending time outdoors skiing and hiking. She recommends “Why I Should Be The Next Bachelorette” from Hindsight Volume IV.

Emma Zande (she/her) is a new team member of Hindsight Spring 2025. She is a senior studying Communication Studies and minoring in English and Business, and loves reading and writing in all forms. Outside of class, Emma can usually be found drawing, baking, doing research, or at the gym. She’s incredibly excited to be joining Hindsight and working with this great team! Issy Berman (she/her) is a junior studying English. This is her first semester with the journal and she is so glad to be a part of it! Mayla Seliskar is a student participating in Journal Publishing as a part of their academic journey. They major in CMCI’s “Media Production,” and minors in Creative Technology & Design. They have a fundamental passion for rhetorical writing and metanarrative, feeling that writing holds an undeniable authority that spoken word can often struggle to attain. In their free time, they like to write fanfiction, play video games, hang out with their friend’s cats (they’re allergic), make music, and go to therapy!

Sebastian Melancon (he/him) is a Junior at CU Boulder majoring in Physics and English Literature and is pursuing minors in music, math, leadership, and a certificate in writing provided through the Program for Writing and Rhetoric. This is his Second semester on journal staff as the managing editor for Changing skies. Outside of school, Sebastian can be found in various music practice halls, walking around at night bumpin’ to jams, and sleeping in public spaces.

Michaela Molaro (she/her) is a sophomore at CU majoring in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She is an editor for Hindsight and this is her second semester with the journal. When she’s not in the classroom, Michaela can be found writing or watching a new movie.

Julia Contreras (she/her) is new to the staff for Hindsight. She is a senior in the College of Communications and Media as a Journalism major at CU Boulder. This is her first semester in the journal, and she is more than excited to get started. She hopes to help and make the journal exceptional and contribute great work. In her free time, she loves to write poetry, stories, and is in the process of writing a creative non-fiction book. Her other interests include surfing, music, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. Julia recommends the online exclusive, “A Sour Sour Orange” from Hindsight Vol. IV

Joe Allen (He/Him) studies English Literature with a minor in Philosophy. He is a Senior at CU Boulder, and this is his first semester on the journal editorial staff. He looks forward to working with this fantastic team and helping to produce this exceptional publication. He likes to read and write short fiction. Esme Eberstadt (she/her) is a new Editorial team member for Hindsight this semester. She is a freshman studying Environmental Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences. She enjoys writing all types of literature, with a preference for creative nonfiction, an ineptitude for poetry, and an interest in journalism. In her free time, she loves to ski, paint, draw, work out, and spend time with friends. Esme recommends “Oak Tree” from Hindsight Volume IV.

Finn Cruit (he/him) is one of the Online Managing Editors at Hindsight. Finn is a Music Major studying Viola Performance at CU Boulder and is also getting a Minor in Writing and Public Engagement. This is his fourth semester on staff, and he is excited to help out! When not practicing his instrument, he likes reading, watching movies, playing board and video games, and drinking all manner of caffeinated beverages.
